Our Quality Standards
The quality of diamonds is measured through 4 main characteristics, called the "Four C's":
•Size (Cut)
•Color (Colour)
•Purity (Clarity)
•Carat weight (Carat weight)
CUT
These are the most important qualities and what makes the difference between our diamonds from the others. For a diamond to reflect brilliance and shine, it must be cut perfectly. A diamond with good colour and good purity can be very expensive. But with a poor cut, the diamond will not shine properly, and instead will have an opaque feature.
COLOUR
The second most important quality of a diamond is its colour tone, ranging from the perfect white (transparent) to yellow. The whiter the diamond the more light it reflects. These kind of diamonds are very rare, expensive and difficult to obtain. There are several tricks however, to find the perfect balance between colour and price of the diamond.
PURITY
This quality measures the number, the location, size and type of internal inclusions or external blemishes that a diamond has. The purer the diamond, the brighter it reflects and, therefore, is more rare and valuable. We can give you several tips to find a balance between purity and right price.
CARAT WEIGHT
The weight of a Diamond also determines its price. A diamond of 1 carat could cost 4 times more than one diamond of 0.50 carat. In this section you will learn how to relate the weight of a diamond to size and to choose diamonds according to its weight.
CERTIFICATION
We recommend that you never buy a diamond without certification! The certificate of the diamond, issued by an independent laboratory, is the only guarantee that allows evaluating the quality and thus its price.
Without a certificate, the price of a diamond is impossible to determine, and this runs the risk of paying up more than double of its actual value.

The most important quality of a diamond is its size. A poorly cut diamond does not shine
despite having good colour and purity. Manuel Spinosa works exclusively with good cut diamonds, and quality over I-SI quality. If you are looking for less range quality, or you prefer Fancy Diamonds, please feel free to contact us to get the better options.
